How come this script is getting less and less accurate the more it gets used?

Hello, Im having some trouble with this

local notename1 = var
		local folder = script.Parent.ImageLabel.arrowplrman.passingnotes
		local pos1 = folder:FindFirstChild(var)
			for i,v in pairs(folder:GetChildren()) do
				if v.Position.Y.Scale < pos1.Position.Y.Scale and v.Name == var then
					pos1 = v
				end
			end

this script gets less and less accurate ever time its used, it starts by not working on one part, then makes everything not work, not too sure whats happening, printing it does give the name of the closest note
