Why is this tool stuck or frozen? (not a scripting question)

I'm sure that by asking this question I look like an idot, but I have a tool in starter pack and when I equip the tool it teleports me to the tool and when I try to move it doesn't work until I unequip the tool. However when I play the game and select the tool in explorer mid game and move it upward it falls into the "void" and then if I unequip the tool and re-equip it, it teleports to my hand and it works like its suppose to. This has happened with other tools I have made or found in the toolbox. Can someone help me fix this bug?
