The best way to learn is copping free models from the toolbox and studying the scripts in them.
And to look up the APIs referenced in the scripts. best of luck

Of course. The road to learning how to script is a long and excruciating one. Don't give up, but at the same time don't overwork yourself. I was in your place not even a year ago and I've learned so much since then.
