I'm currently using ChatService to get and print a player's message:
local Speaker = ChatService:GetSpeaker(SpeakerName)
Speaker.SaidMessage:Connect(function(MessageObj)
print(MessageObj.Message)
end)
end)
This isn't working, obviously, and I already know why: Message.Filtered is always returning true.
The MessageObj.Message property will return nil if Message.Filtered is true -which it is- but my question is why. I'm not sure if the Filtered property has a different usage here or not; nothing is being tagged (especially because I'm typing messages such as just "a").
I'm referencing ChatService correctly as well.
local ChatService = require(game:GetService("ServerScriptService"):WaitForChild("ChatServiceRunner").ChatService)
EDIT: This was solved in the Discord, apparently the documentation was (probably) outdated and it should have been FilterResult.
