I'm modeling something and I need to weld a part to another part manually but when I do so, it moves the part I'm trying to weld and I can't change its position.

How do I make a weld that doesn't mess up the position of a part?

how are you welding it?
Insert object > weld > then I go to properties and set the Part0 and Part1
