Hello, I am new to the forum so forgive me if it seems like a annoying question, I just wanted some insight on what I could do into this problem. I've noticed along the v3rmillion websites that people can use a lag switch script that imitates Studio's IncomingReplicationLag however you cannot access the service "NetworkSettings" through a normal LocalScript because you are lacking permissions. I was wondering if there was any way to either get around the permissions needed or what should I do for these lag switchers as I am developing a anti-exploit.

Here's the code I was thinking could possibly been a fix

local networkSettings = settings().Network
local IRL = networkSettings.IncomingReplicationLag
local char = game.Players.LocalPlayer.Character or game.Players.LocalPlayer.CharacterAppearanceLoaded:Wait()

while wait(0) do
	if IRL > 1 then
		print(char.Name, "is trying to use a lag switch!")
		repeat
			wait(1)
			char.Humanoid.WalkSpeed = 0
		until IRL < 1
	else
		wait(1)
		char.Humanoid.WalkSpeed = 20
	end
end

If exploit programs can access the NetworkSettings, why can't a normal local script to stop this? It makes no sense to not give access to the service because you cannot stop lag switchers, does anyone have a different method?

Y'know it goes around metatables and hooks
