COMMUNITY QUESTION

Why are my HTTP requests always being responded to with a 429 (Too Many Requests) error?

I am sending one request, but it constantly returns an error 429. There are no errors with my script, but I will add it below anyways.

local hs = game:GetService("HttpService")
local url = "https://games.rprxy.xyz/v1/games/votes?universeIds=myUniverseId" -- This has my actual universe id in my code

local response
local data

while wait(10) do
	local suc,err = pcall(function ()
		response = hs:GetAsync(url,false)
		data = hs:JSONDecode(response)
	end)

	if suc then
		if data and data.upVotes then
			print(data.upVotes)
		end
	else
		warn("Error: "..err)
	end
end

I found a fix, but going to leave this up for documentation. Basically, rprxy.xyz does not allow very many requests, so I'm getting the value once every minute now. Also, for some reason, I had to go into data.data[1].upVotes, which was odd, but worked. I hope others can learn from this.
