I'm making a game where players need to find objects pick them up and put them down in the right spot. What i have trouble with is giving them score for it. I'm new to roblox and examples of scoring i find are kill/death type that are connected to player character not an object
COMMUNITY QUESTION
How to make Player score points by bringing objects to a dedicated spot?

You could try making a new part and name it ScoreArea or something, set it to CanCollide = false and Anchored = true, and if a part touches it and its name is, for example, ScorePart, then it awards the player.

script.Parent.Touched:Connect(function(hit) if game.Players:GetPlayerFromCharacter(hit.Parent) then local player = game.Players:GetPlayerFromCharacter(hit.Parent) player.leaderstats.Points.Value = player.leaderstats.Points.Value + 1 end end)

when they place the object, if they place it in the right spot then award them +1 in score
