Most SIMPLE text button script isn't working. Why?

here is my code which is a local script inside of the text button

function ParentClicked()
	Print("bruh") --example, not actual code
end 

script.Parent.MouseButton1Click:Connect(ParentClicked)

HTTP request are on, the button is active, and selectable. It was working fine a week or two ago. Now when I click it nothing happens.

Why don't you just do this (it takes away the need to make your own function, its about as simple as it can get):

script.Parent.MouseButton1Click:Connect(function()
	print("example") -- code here
end)

I don't understand what you are doing and why, i've never seen how you have done it before. plus, you can always call your own function through the mousebutton1down function.
