Can anyone help me lock cursor to a part in workspace?

I need to make a local script that locks your cursor to a part of your choice in the workspace. Let me elaborate. Say I added a part to the workspace and I wanted my cursor to lock onto the part every time I hit a button. Can anyone give me any pointers of any help at all on how to do this. I'm new to scripting!
