I want to make a ghost model appear at the Mouse.hit CFrame, but the orientation that gives does not allow me to make a distance comparison to a rotated part (for example, a 40 Degree Y Axis rotation) so that the position can be snapped to a 4 stud grid relative to the part. How on Earth would I even go about doing this? To make it slightly easier, I only need to know how to set a single part's CFrame to this 4 stud grid.
COMMUNITY QUESTION
How can I get the Mouse.hit CFrame to match a rotated part's CFrame?

Just to confirm, is your question about how you would match the mouse.Hit CFrame to the part's CFrame with a 40 Degree Y Axis Offset? So everywhere it moves, it keeps the offset?
Correct.
