COMMUNITY QUESTION

The camera is meant to change position but it still stays at the player?

The Camera is meant to position itself so the Player can see the cutscene. Here's my code:

local player = game.Players.LocalPlayer
local Cam = workspace.CurrentCamera

Cam.CFrame = CFrame.new(-18.945, 79.749, -36.525)
Cam.Focus = workspace.Cam1Part

Script: LocalScript I made it so the CamType is Scriptable in a different Script.

What's wrong with it? This is going towards Shadow Thieves! Thanks!

It could be by a lot of factors, some of them:

  • Your LocalScript is misplaced, meaning it's either in StarterGui or in StarterPlayerScripts. Sometimes it works in StarterPlayerScripts, sometimes it doesn't, that's why I recommend you to put it inside StarterCharacterScripts.

  • You did put it in StarterCharacterScripts, but the script in which you made the camera scriptable ran AFTER the script you posted above. That's why I recommend you organizing your code correctly, having this kind of mess makes your project unmaintainable. I recommend you to mess with your camera in only one script, or make a Module for it, dunno.
