How to make clothes show up in backpack in Roblox game ?

I have been trying to make clothes show up in my inventory in my Roblox game but i just cant seem to figure it out. I've already made a shop for tools but for the clothing, it doesn't work. It purchases it with the currency but it doesn't appear in the backpack and I have no idea how to get it to go in there. I want them to be able to buy it and then be able to put it on and off from the backpack. Is there anyway to do this? I have the shirt items and pants items but they still don't work. I am very new to scripting so if this is possible, I would appreciate the help!
