so i am editing stand scripts rn and i am trying to edit the animations but i have no idea what sine animations are. it doesn't use an animation id, instead it has a script like this

["head"] = CFrame.new(0, 1, 0, -1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 1, -0),

i have looked around the internet to try to find out how to use this but to no luck. can someone help explain this?

This doesn't look like some sort of sine animation (the closest I could find relating to that term is procedural animation) but rather possible offset to be applied to the original CFrame gradually.

so then what would i call it?

To be honest, I never seen anyone use sine animations, only if they want to make the camera bobble or something like that. If you wanna do expert animations, use blender.
