Hi all, I am trying to change some settings in the Chat.ClientChatModules.ChatSettings... This module script returns a meta-table with _index and _newindex (see below):

local ChangedEvent = Instance.new("BindableEvent") --I thought this might be important too...

local proxyTable = setmetatable({},
{
	__index = function(tbl, index)
		return module[index]
	end,
	__newindex = function(tbl, index, value)
		module[index] = value
		ChangedEvent:Fire(index, value)
	end,
})

rawset(proxyTable, "SettingsChanged", ChangedEvent.Event)

return proxyTable

From my script I am able to retrieve data from the module script print(ChatSettings.ChatOnWithTopBarOff) -- =false and I can seemingly change them ChatSettings.ChatOnWithTopBarOff = true however, I don't think these changes are really happening and when I call print(HTTPService:JSONEncode(ChatSettings)) I recieve {"SettingsChanged":null} ... How do I interact with this meta-table to change the setting?

Do I need to do something with the ChangedEvent? and how do I input the tbl, index and value parameters into _newindex of the metatable?

Thank you for your help, I've tried reading about etatables but thats a bit out of my reach right now and I'd appreciate some help :)
