COMMUNITY QUESTION

why are my dummy animations only working in roblox studio and not the actual game?

so rn i have a dummy and i want it to do a dance but it only applies in studio this is the script i have right now

local animation = script:WaitForChild('Animation')
local humanoid = script.Parent:WaitForChild('Humanoid')
local dance = humanoid:LoadAnimation(animation)
dance:Play()

is it something in the script or is it a game setting?

The only animations that you can use in roblox are ones that you have made or the "Roblox" account itself has produced.

If you just now uploaded the animation, the likelihood is that it hasn't been approved yet. Animations don't take long to approve, and you can tell if they've been denied by going to the Animations tab in your personal Library (Create->Animations).

If you are sure that they've been accepted, then you might want to try using an AnimationController: https://developer.roblox.com/en-us/api-reference/class/AnimationController

i am sure that they have been approved but it works in other games except for the one i am trying to add it to. the game settings are all the same so i am not sure why it only works in other games

Would you mind showing what you have put down for the AnimationID of the animation?
