So, I am going to suggest few ways on starting/learning scripting.
You can create a script by clicking plus sign next to 'Workspace' and type script, then a new script will appear. Double-click to open that.
- Create your own script with print. E.g.:
print("My first script")
- Try addressing objects in Explorer and their Properties using script. E.g.:
print("My first script")
workspace.Part.Visible = false
- Learn using wait(). E.g.:
print("My first script")
workspace.Part.Visible = false
wait(1)
workspace.Part.Visible = true
- Learn using 'if/else' and other related statements. E.g.:
print("My first script")
if workspace.Part.Visible == false then
wait(1)
workspace.Part.Visible = true
end
- Learn adding local variables. E.g.:
print("My first script")
local part = workspace.Part
- Learn using other small functions like :Clone(), :FindFirstChild(), :WaitForChild(). E.g.: Using :Clone() as an example.
print("My first script")
local part = workspace.Part
part:Clone()
- Learn using Instance.new function. E.g.:
print("My first script")
Instance.new("Part", workspace)
- Learn complicated functions. E.g.:
print("My first script")
game.Players.PlayerAdded:Connect(function(player)
player.CharacterAdded:Connect(function()
Instance.new("Part", workspace)
end)
end)
Learn to distinguish where to keep Normal scripts and Local scripts. Also, whether to keep Normal script in workspace or ServerScriptService.
Practise and Practise a lot.
Refer to https://developer.roblox.com/en-us/learn-roblox/coding-scripts for learning more advanced and new things.
Above I mentioned only how to learn scripting in Server/Normal scriipt easily. For Local and Module scripts, refer to link above.
Lemme know if it helps!

Yeah, I suggest to not use the 2nd parameter of Instance.new() as it is considered slower than just using part.Parent.
I already know these things, I just need practice ideas. Like what should I make with my knowledge?
Well, @AgentDenis2 you can create a game of your own or help some of your friends in scripting.
How many steps do you have because they are all labeled "1." lol
