how do I get a specific value in the table?

im basically trying to say if the 1st value in a table is [1] then print first value. how would I do this? it needs to stay in a for loop because its needed to get the children of some of the values in the table

for i,v in pairs (parts) do
			
		if v == [1] then
			
			print("first value]
			
	end
			end
