How do I bring players to a specific position without disjointing their body?

When I try to teleport people by moving their torso to a specific position by using this:

local torso = script.Parent
torso.Position = workspace.Part.Position

it disjoints the player's torso from their body and flings the player. Any suggestions?

Edit: It was late at night and my brain didn't work

local HumanoidRootPart = DEFINEITHERE

Thanks.

you don't use the torso, you use the HumanoidRootPart, also its not part.Location, its part.Position

-- this should be a script in StarterCharacterScripts

local character = script.Parent
local humanoidRootPart = character[HumanoidRootPart]
local part = workspace.Part

humanoidRootPart.CFrame = CFrame.new(part.Position) * CFrame.new(0,3,0)) -- think of cframe as position and the rotation of a part and use cframe if you don't want to disjoint their body

It works like this:

local character = script.Parent
local lowertorso = character:WaitForChild("LowerTorso",5)

lowertorso.Position = workspace.Part.Position

In this way, it will not break the character and it will make it teleport perfectly.
