Should I have ranks in a datastore or have ranks in a group?

I'm making a work game, and there are ranks that depend on how long you've worked. I'm having minutes being saved on a datastore, but I'm comtemplating whether I should have ranks be saved on a datastore or saved in a group. Which one is better, and what are the pros and cons of each? Thank you! :D
