How to delay falling animation?

In a game I'm making, I have a custom jump animation where the character does a front flip. The problem is that when you jump, the falling animation will start playing when you start moving back toward the ground before the jump animation can finish, and the fall animation will cut the jump animation off. Is there a way I can delay the fall animation to not start until about 1 second after the game detects that you are falling so that the jump animation can complete before it starts playing the the fall animation? I am new to coding so I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

There is actually a really simple way.

  1. Playtest in studio.
  2. Copy the "Animate" LocalScript and stop playing
  3. Paste it in StarterPlayer > StarterCharacterScripts
  4. Go to line 275 of "Animate"
  5. Change the jumpAnimDuration time.

No problem!

Without any code I can't help much but id suggest using either the delay or wait functions.
