I'm trying to make a localscript that automatically changes lighting settings, lighting technology, and makes certain lighting blocks appear depending on your graphics level. And i'm wondering if it's possible to make that change on the server (since it's locked on the client), then send the data to the client and only display it on the computer that requested it. I just need to know if it's possible so I don't waste my time if it isn't.
COMMUNITY QUESTION
Is it possible to change something on the server, then send the data to the localplayer?

Note: I Only Read The Title!
I think the thing you're looking for is RemoteEvents!

ANSWER: Yes it is possible, but you don't need to change anything on the server. You need only to add a LocalScript to the StarterPlayer>StarterPlayerScripts and when the option is fired to add more lighting you add the lights. No server code is needed.
Note: All of the code should be written in a LocalScript.

I thought about that, but, since i'm trying to change the lighting technology too, and that's locked to the server, wouldn't it need to be done via the server?

Try it.

Would I be able to make the change on the server only visible on the client?
