A viewport frame will not show my character on it in the game. But when I am not playing the game it works, but still doesn't at the same time. Here is when I am not playing the game: https://gyazo.com/c2e8fa344d306285937c96f340fe6ca5
The current camera is set to the camera in the workspace and the character is set to true for archivable.

The viewport frame shows nothing and the cloned character is parented to it with all of its children.
Here is the local script inside of the gui holding the viewport frame:
local player = game.Players.LocalPlayer
local char = player.Character
wait(1) -- Waited 1 second so that the character could load in
char.Archivable = true
local clonnedchar = char:Clone()
game.StarterGui.MainGui.CharViewport.CurrentCamera = workspace.Camera
clonnedchar.Parent = game.StarterGui.MainGui.CharViewport
Edit: I also disabled the gui because it got in the way in Roblox Studio. In the script it also enables the gui but it won't work. When I was in-game I checked the properties of the gui and it said it was enabled, but the gui actually wasn't showing up.
If there is another way to do this and simply put the players profile picture in the viewport frame that would be nice to know.
