while scripting in Roblox Studios sometimes, I hesitate to pick what type of script to use. Like on this Death Counter Script, should it be client? Or server? Please help me on this topic, Thanks!
when should I use local scripts or server scripts?

Server scripts - Only use this if say for example, if you want all of the players to see a change made. Server script handles basically everything that needs to be seen or done to all of the players.
Local scripts - Only use this if you only want 1 person (the person behind the monitor) to see this change. **Local scripts will only ever handle player input. ** Use them for detecting when a player clicks on a button, like a "purchase" button. Then comes in remote functions and remote events, they're used for sending a request from the local script to the server, to ask the server to confirm if the player has enough money to make the purchase.
Depends if the death counter is being saved or not? If you're saving it for when the player comes back, it would have to go through a server script. If this is something only the player can see (no one else), local script.

if you want a part or a timer to show for everyone in the game then use a server script, if you wanna teleport everyone, use a server script, if you want a certain door to open for 1 person but not another person or certain gui's to appear for someone but not another person then use localscript
