COMMUNITY QUESTION

How would I go about making a new player model for a specifc player?

So, I've written a script to detect a certain player joining, and when they join I want them to have a special body, I've created a rig and it works fine, But I don't know how to write a script that gives the player the rig as their character. I've seen talks on old threads and posts on other websites about player.Character = "" but that isnt working for me, I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong.

local players = game:GetService("Players")

local specialUsers = {
 	[74109617] = "Pokemine1o9"
}

local function notifySpecialUserEntry(playerJoined)
	if (specialUsers[playerJoined.UserId]) then
		specialUsers.Character = game.Workspace.Reskin
		print("Goin good")
	end
end

players.PlayerAdded:Connect(notifySpecialUserEntry)

Thanks for your help :)

EDIT: It does print "Goin good" but the player model doesn't change

If you want to have a custom character then you normally use a model called StarterCharacter and it would be inside the StarterPlayer. So all you have to do it make sure the name of you model is "StarterCharacter" and you can just parent it to StarterPlayer in the script.

local players = game:GetService("Players")

local specialUsers = {
    [74109617] = "Pokemine1o9"
}

local function notifySpecialUserEntry(playerJoined)
	if (specialUsers[playerJoined.UserId]) then
		workspace.StarterCharacter.Parent = game:GetService("StarterPlayer")
    end
end

players.PlayerAdded:Connect(notifySpecialUserEntry)
