Finding player name in table doesn't work?

I want to detect if a player is a staff member (Developer in this case) to do command.FUNC but I get no error and I know I'm in the table so I don't know why I've tried 2 ways as below. and when I print IGDeveloper[i] and print plr.Name they both say the same thing.

for i = 1, #IGDeveloper do
			print(IGDeveloper[i])
			print(plr.Name)
			if table.find(IGDeveloper, plr.Name) then
				command.FUNC(args, plr)
				print(';a')
				end
				end

and

for i = 1, #IGDeveloper do
			print(IGDeveloper[i])
			print(plr.Name)
			if IGDeveloper[i] == plr.Name then
				command.FUNC(args, plr)
				print(';a')
				end
				end
