So I'm making a GUI and I want to have a debounce that can be accessed by the client and server so I can just not perform the function if an exploiter fires a remote before the debounce is over and for non-exploiters when the click the button before the debounce is over display a notification with how many seconds are left for the cooldown.
Of course it can be achieved by subtracting from a script value every second until it hits 0, but that's not the most efficient and pretty way to do it.

Why aren’t you just using Boolean values?
@14zanderbilt because I want to be able to display the amount of time left in a notification when somebody clicks a button.
Can you use Remote Events?
this project already has enough remotes so no
I don't think you can use booleans in an int value.
You dont need a remote event unless your giving something from the server to the local player or trying to prevent exploiters.
