Is it possible to know where a signal came from?

For example, if I fire a remote function from a localscript to the server or vice versa, is it possible to know where that signal came from without giving it the object argument? I am looking for something that cannot be fooled like the player argument in remote events.

Could you please clarify your question?

If I would fire a remoteevent from the server to a client for example, is it possible to get the source where the signal came from? In this case, which script fired the remote? (Without putting an object argument)

u can use .OnInvokeEvent to detect if the remote function is fired

For that doe, You can put a value in ur local script and fire a check if the value exists, local scripts cannot make values so it would be foolproof

You should not be trying to find where "the signal came from" ever, good security starts on the server's side. The only argument that can ever be trusted from the client is their player argument. An exploiter can fire events from anywhere and even if you did have a way to detect what script fired the event you wouldn't be able to safely and securly send that data to the server to verify it.
