I want to share a certain value of a player across two places. Is it possible without Datastores? And is there a way to do it safely? (Is it possible to lower the chance of exploiting?)
How do you share PlayerData across places without using datastores?

HTTPService to a datastore. For example, I use use Google sheets. Here is a tutoral for Google Sheets.
For you to customize it to your own games (for a matchingmaking system, playerdata, twitter codes), you have to know how to code in Javascript, plus Google Apps Script apis.
While Script_Helpers is right, his suggestive method is a tad out of the question in a practical use case. Whenever I'm making something, I make it to be scalable, as in if my game is a hit, it should be able to handle the load, or only require simple steps to upgrade its handling. If you were to use Google Sheets, under heavy load, it would not perform well considering they have a rate limit. From their site: "This version of the Google Sheets API has a limit of 500 requests per 100 seconds per project, and 100 requests per 100 seconds per user" which means within 100 seconds, you're only allowed 500 requests. If you have more than 500 players for example all joining at once, you may not be able to load/save their data immediately, which could result in some data loss.
The best solution in that case would be to create your own API on a cloud-based web server (digital ocean, cloudflare, any other web host) to handle GET/POST requests for handling your data. In terms of scalability, the only limits they have would be in the amount of data being transferred a day/month, however that can typically be easily upgraded just by paying a little more each month. This, unlike a majority of other free online solutions, is easily scalable and best fits your situation. Front page games typically take this approach if they need to.

Messaging service. They still have to be apart of the same universe though. If you want it to be completely separate, then you have to have your own server setup apart from roblox.
How does it work?
Nvm.. Messaging Service is not what I meant
