So I am fairly new to the concept of welds, and can't seem to find any clear tutorials on how I might go about welding a sword to the left hand of a player (specifically so I can dual wield with a sword in each hand in vr)
This is the script I have at the moment, it is just a regular script in the Handle of my tool in the starterpack.
local part = script.Parent
local character = script.Parent.Parent.Parent
local weld = Instance.new("Weld",part)
weld.Part0 = part
weld.Part1 = character["LeftHand"]
weld.C0 = CFrame.new(0, 0, 0) + Vector3.new(0,character["LeftHand"].Size.Y/2,0)
I have already tried manual welding to the hand of my starter humanoid (both regular and weld constraint) but that just caused the swords to completely disappear whenever I pressed play.
Whenever I run it in studio it just stays in the right hand of the player, with no visual difference that my script has done anything...
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much for your time!

Try converting the Vector3 into a CFrame and do CFrame.new(Vector3) instead. You might just not see the part and it's probably really far away.
I tried your fix and there was no difference. The sword just equipped like normal in the right hand, thank for your suggestion though.
