My forcefield is not protecting the player?

I inserted a forcefield into the players character but the player still takes damage from parts like lazers, how can I make the character truly invincible?

Make it where if the laser touches the Force field it gets destroyed. You could add collides for the lasers. It’s your choice to choose.

Forcefields don't stop any modification to a players humanoid unless you use TakeDamage() or have a check search for the forcefield itself.

Humanoid:TakeDamage() will mean you don't have to add your own check

local sword = script.Parent

sword.Blade.Touched:Connect(function(hit)
	if hit.Parent and hit.Parent:FindFirstChildOfClass("Humanoid") then
		hit.Parent:FindFirstChildOfClass("Humanoid"):TakeDamage(25)
	end
end)
