How do I make two handed gears?

I'm trying to create an animation with two "batons" in either hand and I have the gear working with both hands animated, but I can't figure out how to put the gear in both hands. I'm somewhat new to animations and I've only made one-handed gears. Here's a gif of the animation if that helps.
