COMMUNITY QUESTION

How does roblox detect who's swearing on the chat to ban?

What I could not understand was that if you used

a function of Chat Service

like

Chat:FilterStringAsync.

it would filter it right? but is this what roblox uses to detect?

Cause can't the server just put an innaporporiate text to ban the user or do bad things?

like

local playerFrom = game.Players.Roblox	-- Local player (player sending message)
local message = "Big Gay"	-- Message to be filtered

-- Filter the string and store the result in the 'FilteredString' variable
FilteredString = game:GetService("Chat"):FilterStringForBroadcast(message, playerFrom)

-- Print the filtered string
print(FilteredString)

and wouldn't this get roblox banned?

Sorry to say but this is not clearly possible thats why it is hash tagged when something is sensed.

ROBLOX uses a third party filtering system called "CommunitySift". Although it is possible to make a custom filter, I would highly advise not to use this. ROBLOX is starting to roll out a new thing that reads your scripts, and the bot might find yours as inappropriate, and ban you. If you do want to filter custom text, use this template by developer.roblox.com at your own risk.
