Hello, The output shows my data store is doing it's job, and actually works. There is in no way a problem with the Data Storage script itself. The problem is this error message:
DataStore request was added to queue. If request queue fills, further requests will be dropped. Try sending fewer requests.
It keeps popping up in my output, and after my Data Stores have confirmed to have loaded up the saved info with the success print, they proceed to output this error message right after, and botch the save. I don't know what to do about this. I asked around on the discord, but I got little to no help on solving this issue. I can't say the Wiki helped me, because It didn't have a set error number that I could follow. I hesitate to believe that to be true because the Data Storage Script is as basic as you can get. Could I please get some help and feedback on what the exact issue is, and potentially how I could fix it?
I will put my bare-bones Data Storage script below. (My Data Storage is as bare bones as can get)
local DataStorage = game:GetService("DataStoreService")
local MoneyDataStorage = DataStorage:GetDataStore("DataStore")
local Players = game:GetService("Players")
Players.PlayerAdded:Connect(function(player)
local leaderstats = Instance.new("Folder",player)
leaderstats.Name = "Leaderboard"
local money = Instance.new("IntValue", leaderstats)
money.Name = "Money"
money.Value = 50000
local data
local userid = "Player_"..player.UserId
local success, errormessage = pcall(function()
data = MoneyDataStorage:GetAsync(userid)
end)
if data then
if success then
money.Value = data.Value
print("Data Found")
else
print("There was an error Retreiving your Data."..errormessage)
end
else
print("No prior Data saved.")
end
end)
Players.PlayerRemoving:Connect(function(player)
local data = {
money = player.leaderstats.Money.Value
}
local userid = "Player_"..player.UserId
local success, errormessage = pcall(function()
print("Retreiving Data")
MoneyDataStorage:SetAsync(userid,data)
end)
if success then
print("Your data was successfully saved.")
else
print("There was an error saving your data."..errormessage)
end
end)

hi, the problem is the amount of requests that are being send to the server. https://developer.roblox.com/en-us/articles/Datastore-Errors. you might wanna REDUCE the number of requests, you won't get the error msg. If you really need that many requests per minute, you might wanna consider a different datastore
I mean, thanks, but the error message isn't really specific. That's the problem I'm having, so I have no idea what I need to fix.
